Very interesting and comprehensive. I would love to be accredited through one of the schools. However, I am almost 78 years old. I can't see the return on investment.
I love the enneagram and as a self pres 3 want to advertise it to everyone. I'm trying to do that using what I have learned from multiple places, not only Suzanne Stabile, Bea Chestnut, and Ian Cron, but Fathoms.
For the past almost 6 years I am part of a group that meets regularly to learn more.
Your Book was one of my first. It is so good 😊
I'm glad you are now in Substack sharing your knowledge.
Hi Andy, Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share a bit of your journey. Glad you found my book and happy to hear it was one of your first introductions to the Enneagram.
I love hearing how deeply you’ve immersed yourself in the work, not only through your teachers, but also by investing years into a learning community. That kind of steady, wholehearted engagement is such a gift.
Accreditation is a great path for some, but it’s clear you’re already living this work in a way that matters. As a Self-Pres Three, I can only imagine how meaningful it must be to share the Enneagram with others in ways that feel authentic and purposeful. Keep going!
i learned the enneagram as a part of my spiritual direction certification (2014/15) and have often considered in my deepening of understanding whether or not the certification process was the most helpful step.
cheers,
phil
i think id be most interested in your course. i’ve looked at it previously but this is a good reminder to go back to it.
Thanks so much, Phil. I really appreciate you sharing that. It makes sense that your Enneagram learning came through the lens of spiritual direction, it can be such a powerful companion to that kind of inner work.
I totally get the questions around certification. It’s something I hear often, and I think your reflection captures what a lot of thoughtful folks wrestle with as they deepen their understanding.
And I’d love to have you in the course if and when the time feels right. No pressure at all, just grateful the post served as a nudge and a bit of encouragement along the way.
Let me know if you ever want to talk more about it.
